Holi Moli 2012

In the name of everything that is sweet and holi, Sangam, Hindu Yuva, Campus Y, and MADO (Multicultural Affairs and Diversity Outreach committee of Student Government) would like to present HOLI MOLI 2012!

Holi is #13 on Carolina’s Bucket List! It’s a South Asian spring¬†festival celebrated by Hindus and Sikhs that celebrates the energy and life of the season. Carolina celebrates by letting students run around on the quad throwing colored powder and water at each other. If you would like to read anymore about it, you can read about this popular culture event here:http://www.bbc.co.uk/religion/religions/hinduism/holydays/holi_1.shtml

Pre-sale tickets are $3 and ensure each person one color packet on the day of the event and the opportunity to buy a second one for $4. These will be sold in the pit the week of the event (Monday, March 19 to Thursday, March 22)

Tickets will also be sold on the day of the even on a first-come first-serve basis for $4. Additional color packets are still $4 for on-the-day buyers.

Wear white to this event! It is messy so don’t wear anything you wouldn’t mind getting an intense tie-dye job! We will also be selling custom Holi Moli 2012 shirts in the pit all week for $5!

***All proceeds go to the Mahatma Gandhi Foundation and the Bhutanese Empowerment Fund***

Keep in mind, safety is an issue with this event. So while we appreciate all the energy you have, please no sliding, no pushing, no biting, no scratching.
